Background
Classic Cakes Limited, formerly Delta Cuisine Limited, was formed in 1987 to supply the rapidly developing snack cake market with a high quality range of products. Initially operating from premises in Milton Keynes, the Company moved to a purpose built facility in Daventry, Northants in 1992.
The company today remains privately owned and is managed by its shareholding directors.
Facilities
The Daventry factory is located on a one-acre site with easy access for heavy lorries for both raw material and finished product delivery. Floor space extends to around 29,000-sq. ft., with high bay finished product storage for some 300 pallets.
Quality and high operating standards were paramount throughout the design and construction of the facility. Clearly separated raw material storage, production, packing, boxing and finished product areas were created along with the correct support facilities to ensure the highest standards of own label and private label product could be achieved.
Production is based on a batch manufacturing system that gives the best combination of flexibility and control whilst allowing customers individual requirements to be met
